The movie "Deadly illusions" is a 2021 super suspenseful thrilling drama film written and directed by Anna Elizabeth James and starring Kristin Davis, Dermot Mulroney, Greer Grammer, and Shanola Hampton.

Mary Morrison (Kristen Davis), a successful author of thriller and suspense novels, is happily married to Tom (Dermot Mulroney) with two young children. Her publisher, asking her to write down another book, offers a two million bounty in advance; she originally declines but has got to accept after Tom says he lost half their estate on a weak investment. Mary's friend Elaine suggests hiring a nurse to help with the youths as she writes and, after a couple of interviews, she employs Grace (Greer Grammer).

 

Mary has blocked and uses her blowing fellowship with Grace to inspire her. Mary also starts having what appears to be sexual fantasies about Grace. She also seems to conjure about Grace and Tom engaging in sexual intercourse within the kitchen, but cannot tell if it's real or her pictorial imagination. Defying them both at the dining table in a tearful rage, she upsets the children and causes a peak between her and Grace.



The following morning, Mary apologizes to Grace, saying her outburst was the result of working too hard. She also calls the nurse agency to ask why they have not cashed her check yet, and they tell her it's because she hasn't come to them about her choice of a nurse. Mary asks if they have a nurse called Grace in their service and they say no.

 


Mary goes to ascertain Elaine and finds her dead with a brace of scissors in her neck. Reaching the police, to her surprise and horror, she learns that she has been seen as the main suspect. The police reveal there is an excellent deal of indicting substantiation, including a videotape of what appears to be Mary arriving at Elaine's house, although her face is obscured with a headband and sunglasses, and her rearmost book features a murder with scissors.



Mary also travels to Grace's birthplace, visiting her aunt, who reveals Grace had been abused by her parents as a toddler, and she also flaunts odd gestures. Mary calls Tom to advise him about Grace but he does not answer. At home, he is in the shower when Grace walks in wearing lingerie and brandishing an outsized cutter.

She continuously switches from her usual sweet, soft-toned tone to a violent solicitor with a deep voice. As she attacks Tom, Mary arrives home. Grace claims to not know what happen, constantly saying, "I could not stop her." Grace suffers from multiple identity complaints, and her other identity "Margaret" is who attacked Tom. Mary ultimately knocks Grace. unconscious.



After a year, Mary and her family are together. Mary takes the finished handwriting of her new book to Elaine's grave and leaves it there because it was Elaine who encouraged her to start writing again. She also goes to go to Grace during a psychiatric sanitarium. The film ends with "Mary" leaving the sanitarium, her face obscured by a headband and sunglasses, as within the police videotape of Elaine's killer.

This movie is based on surprises wrapping up suspense and thriller and multiple identities are also wrapped in suspense. The film sees a roller coaster ride from beginning to end and provides authentic content for the audience. The movie is worth watching.
